is the pump not switching off?

if the pump is switching off but its still emptying the barrel, it could be syphoning because the barrel is too high.
If the pump is not switching off then the switch may be faulty

thanks cazzz1975, its only started doing this recently, i did wonder if the heater unit is suffering from limescale deposits, or something along these lines as all worked perfectly.

Sorry Cazzz1975, the pump works as it should , fills up the heater unit, which then lets the water out overflow so the pump fills it up again and so it goes till the water hog empty. I switched off heating, gas supply and the water to minimise any further damage to van and unit. the paperwork with manual does not address this problem, or explain things that anyone other than a electronic or plumbing engineer could understand
Sounds like the level detecting sensor is not working.
