New Wireless Router

Hopefully, I am going to set up a new wireless router tomorrow, but have the following question. Having read the online manual for the router (D Link DIR 615 from Virgin) I am unsure that I have all the necessary info. i.e. is it PPPoE I use, or PPTP or L2TP ?? I think I have the rest of the info required, Subnet mask etc. Any advice would be most welcome.

I just plugged mine in, loaded the disc, put in the User ID and Password and off I went. I'm no expert but it couldn't have been easier.
