I fell around 5 weeks ago and didn't get it checked out...my arm and elbow have been slowly getting more painful so last Wednesday I went to docs who sent me to hospital and after an x ray I was told it was muscle damage and I would need an anti-inflamatory to help mend it. The thing is i'm allergic to alot of medical ingredients so I'm looking for anybody with a tried and tested answer, it is so sore!!

talk to your pharmacist tomorrow,
I suffered a painful elbow for weeks hoping it would cure itself. Ended up at the quack who prescribed an Ibuprofen gel (Phorpain I think it was called) backed up with an elastic bandage. The bandage on it's own gave instant relief and the gel took care of the rest. The gel BTW was 10 times stronger than those available over the counter.
Good luck, I hope you find relief.
You still have to be careful with Ibruprofen gel if you're allergic to anti inflamatories as it's absorbed into the system. Have you tried hot and cold treatments?
Ibuprofen Gel and or tablets 400mgms is the answer to your problem.

I am not sure what you mean by"is i'm allergic to alot of medical ingredients"

I have Rhuematoid Athritis and when I was younger I had to try out lots of medication to help me with swelling and pain in my legs, after a few weeks of taking certain drugs, I ended up really ill through the side effects, it turned out I was allergic to the ingredients the tablets were mixed with, I can't take Aspirin, Co -Codomol, Solpadol, Ibrufen etc...I have used gels before but I feel as if my skin is on fire!!
I went back to docs yesterday and they put on a tubigrip and gave me a sling to try and stop me using my arm. They also told me to try Co-codomol and Diclofenic (made different nowadays, so she says) so I'll see how I get on.

Thanks for suggestions x
