Sunday, A Day Of Rest
36 Answers
I hope you are all enjoying yourselves and, for those who are working, may your day go smoothly. The sun is shining here, I have done my housework, (well, as much as I intend to) so the rest of the day may be spent as I see fit. Have a great day, whatever you are doing.

Lore, Big Sis is ruthless with her wardrobe. If she buys any clothing she clears the same number of items out of it for the charity shop. She cleared some from her 2nd bedroom for my clothes when I visit, but I just take them from the case as I need them, unless we are going somewhere posh - not very often, needless to say!

"Done my housework". What does that mean? My late husband, when we were first married, wiped his finger along a shelf and discovered dust. Needless to say he never did it again!
There's a lovely poem, 'Dust if you Must', can't remember it, but it is very true!
I live in Lincolnshire and we have had about a millimetre of rain in the past month. Very worrying, fed up with watering, but needs must.

NoM - I hope you finish early and that you can enjoy a vino or 2 whilst making a fuss of Alfie x
suezy - you are probably right. I was watching Enda Kelly on Marr's programme this morning. First visit in 100 years - got to be good for some.
hw4 - it means I have done mminimum requirements, lol. I have to have something to look forward to tomorrow. I used to have a tall neighbour who, when leaving the house, would stand with his hand on top of the open door. Why he looked surprised to find dust on it, I will never know :o)

Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
To paint a picture, to write a letter,
Bake a cake, or plant a seed,
Ponder the difference between want and need.
Dust if you must, but there isn't much time,
With rivers to swim, and mountains to climb,
Music to hear and books to read,
Friends to cherish and life to lead.
Dust if you must but the world's out there,
With the sun in your eyes and the wind in your hair,
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
This day will not come around again.
Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
Old age will come, and it's not kind,
And when you go, (as go you must)
You, yourself, will make more dust.
