I still like whisky and lime but have it maybe once a year!

At 16 I used to drink vodka rum and orange mixed, I passed my GCE in English on that and passed with distinction!! (probably passed out later!!!)
Remember when mothers used to leave babies parked outside stores in their prams. I looked after my friend's baby one day and when I came out of the store, I forgot all about the baby and trotted nearly home (luckily not too far) and then I remembered, rushed back and he was fine, gurgling away and untouch, phew, I ask you!

those great big Silver Cross prams Neti?
We had to walk everywhere, no getting on buses and in cars with those tanks..LOL
Yeah posh jobs weren't they??
Question Author
yes, very high sprung and roomy too, I had a navy blue one..
My brother did that once neti. He sat down and had a cup of tea and his wife suddenly said where's the baby. He had left her outside of the Post Office. She was still there quite contented. Imagine that in these days!

you would be done for child neglect Star
My mother did that to me. She pushed me in my pram all the way from Howdon to Wallsend ( no prams on buses in those days), went to the Coop then calmly caught the bus home. It was only when a neighbour on the bus asked her how her baby was that she replied, "Oh, he's fine... Jesus! Stop the bus!"

If ever I get arrested I will ask for a counsellor and explain that all my problems are due to being abandoned in the Coop in 1949.
