Garage just called to say that in addition to full service there is work needed to parking brake, transmission fluid & valve and a new tyre. Don't think there will be much change out of £1k.

The good news is I won £25 on a premium bond.

I had a win ont lottery last week, £107-00 for 4 numbers. Missus won £25-00 ont premium bonds, then I got £2-60 ont Euro millions. They say it comes in 3's, so that my lucky streak over & done with:-(

Had similar last week, van went in for front brake making a noise, result two new front brake pads and shows, front wheel bearing and service - £490 when I was expecting about £200. Enforced diet for the next month as I can't afford to eat now.

Cars back and the bill is worse than anticipated.....kind of forget about the VAT. Grrrr.
