Excel - Creating a Leave Calendar
I have about 50 staff and want to create a daily leave calendar in Excel that can show who is on leave and when, all at the same time. (maybe colour coded, do you think?)
I would also like to differentiate between different types of leave. eg: Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Leave without Pay.
Any idea's how and where to start with this?

A row for each day.
A colour for each type of leave.
You might be able do a conditional colour format based on a letter code for the type of leave. This would be easier to enter than a colour.
I would do it in Access database rather than Excel. This allows you to input the data in a form and manipulate the display in any way you need.

What you want can't be done in excel (without some quite good programming skills)
you have a toolbar which should include the fill option ...
type in a date in b1 - grab the black dot (bottom right of the cell) and drag across 365 cells to your right
enter the names down column a
think up some colours.... freeze the top row and left column
select the cell - or range ... fill with the colour of your choice
and you are sorted.

it'll cost about �200 - 500
