Motivation

Help please.....I am trying to lower my Blood Pressure (with the aid of prescribed meds) firstly through better eating habits. Secondly, I know I should excercise on a regular basis -but just can't get motivated for that.....We do actually have equipment to help with that eg.,-power plate, rowing machine, treadmill, cross-trainer. -Maybe I just need a boot up the jacksy! (how do you spell that?)

What are your interests? Join one of the many clubs that renovate gardens, build stone walls whatever, volunteer to work at a local animal shelter, push a disabled person out in their wheelchair once a week, join a bowling, table tennis, swimming club, anything that gets you moving -I have a lot to do with horses and believe me I take plenty of exercise but I'm interest in that. It will be too late to look for motivation when you are bedridden with a stroke or something - look out for boot in post and apply vigorously to backside.
Sorry sandyRoe -but not a dog fan! Carmalee-good answer...wouldn't mind renovating someones garden (after tending my own)....I will google for clubs dealing with that.
I do still work 16hrs p.w. in care services although past retirement age. Our gym equipment is for the family -perhaps if I could motivate the other two- I would join in (although both are working full time) Anyway thank you all again for your help & encouragement!!
