nothing personally, the drivers are paid by the teams, the teams get any prize money going. No idea how much though.

Yep, the driver gets nowt. If they want a replica of the trophy they have to buy it(I believe).
It is a business after all.

It's the Constructors' Championship (and not the Drivers' Championship) where the money is, with a payout of around 80 million dollars for the leading team. (That's forecast to double over the next 5 years).

As others have said, any financial payments to the Champion Driver come from his employer, not from the competition itself.
