Do you pay for them or do them yourself?

I'm talking about cleaning windows. Here in Wales, it seems frowned upon to pay for a window cleaner, most people round here clean their own. However, in England (where I'm from), it was always the norm (well in my town), that everybody had a window cleaner!

He was going to charge £6.50 for a 3 bed house with a glass porch so didn't think that was too bad. Anyway, my mother in law couldn't believe we were going to pay for one and is sending my father in law round with his ladder tomorrow lol.
Our windows are in desperate need of doing as we have birds living in the gutters above our bedroom window.
Welsh - that's quite expensive really. Which part of Wales are you in? We're in Llanelli

we live in a little 2up2down house, the window cleaner comes once a fortnight and will only do the front but only charges us £2 for the last 7 years maybe because we OAPs, the rest I have to do. I bought that Swiss window cleaning stuff [£12] about 2 years ago out of the Sunday paper it boast you only have to clean every six months which works on all the windows except the upstairs one that my dogs look out from that needs doing ever other day. Another bonus is the window cleaner does this part time as he works for the council parks dept but if you want a tradesman to do anything i.e.plumbing,decorating etc he knows one and will send them round !
