What book or books would you take on holiday. I usually read non-fiction but would like to try some novels, I enjoy thrillers, crime stories and maybe a good romantic novel
My favourite crime writer is Jim Kelly, who does a lot of cold case crime or crimes with a long backstory. His books are all set in the Norfolk/Suffolk/Cambridgeshire areas.
I have also just read 'A Dance of Ghosts' by Kevin Brooks. Kevin usually writes young adult 'crime' stories and this is his first foray into adult fiction. It's about a ripper and a dodgy copper.
I think any thriller is a good read, i.e. books by Harlan Coben, Douglas Kennedy, Lynwood Barclay and Gregg Hurwitz - fabulous! For something a bit lighter, I don't think you can beat Maeve Binchy or The House at Riverton by Kate Morton.
