aside from actually phoning the number and hoping someone picks up,if i have a public payphone telephone number is there any way i can find out where it is-is there any websites for this? ive found american sites but no british yet. thanks in advance

You can find out roughly where it might be by calling 118888 give them the areas code and the first few digits from the number and they'll narrow down what part of the country it's in.
