Does anyone remember a TV series from the early 90's called the Highwayman? It starred Sam Jones as the Highwayman, and an Australian actor called Jacko as his sidekick Jetto. It was set in Arizona and was about a futuristic crime-fighting team. They had a big truck, the cab of which turned into a helicopter. Nobody else I know seems to remember it, and I was wondering if it was available on DVD anywhere?

I can remember it, I thought the helicopter was in the trailer of the artic, not the cab, anyway, I dont think it is available on DVD, try doing a search on Amazon.com
I remember it - it had Jane Badler from "V" and Tim "Tuvok" Russ in it as well. It's never been released on DVD as far as I know. (Can't say that a release is likely, either!)

yes,the helicopter was the cab !

i remember him with his aussie sidekick - 'hoiway' !

I certainly remember it, I was an avid fan of the series. Unfortunately there does not appear to be a DVD version of thye series available. There was once a rumour going round that is was available on NTSC VHS, but as yet have been unable to find anything. I was very fortunate at the time to have recorded the series on VHS, but going back to 1986 the quality is very poor. I have a number of friends in the US who are looking for DVDs of the series. Maybe one day they will release the series as it was created by Glen Larson and most of his other ventures have been released. best of luck searching I have spent over 12 months looking. Andy
Yup, remember it well. They had a couple of those fancy trucks, one with the chopper/cab & the other one was a slimline flatbed, ususally driven by Jetto (Jacko) his aussie partner. I've just bought a VHS/DVD conversion of the entire set of ebay, wasn't especially cheap considering it was a VHS master, but i'm pleased at last to have it on DVD copy. I checked & the guy has it up for auction, the quality isn't HDTV, but it's veiwable.
