I think the begging letters are the least concern myself. These idiots have only themselves to blame for going public. I fail to seehow this money is going to do them any good if they have to keep on looking over their shoulder or moving.

I've not seen anything to say they are on benefits either, pensioners maybe, but not out of work.
I heard they're both now having 'Gastric Bands' fitted Cost = £5000 each.
A P!SS in the ocean.

Crumbs, that was quick!
How would you keep it quiet though if you came into that amount of money? Relatives knowing and changes in lifestyle would make people suspect wouldn't it? I think this is how the lottery people advised them.
Several years ago there was a big win not far from where I live that I heard about. The family moved out overnight and were never seen again!
modeller - my thoughts exactly!

If this couple had quietly accepted the money and then laid low for a couple of months before spending anything then people would suspect that they'd won something but not be able to tie them in to this exeptionally big win.
the news would have come out eventually anyway, i mean they must have friends, family, neighbours, its hardly something you can keep secret forever
wherever they are I hope they enjoy the money :)
You might be right there nota, They won't even have to touch the money, they can live very well on the interest alone,
(Even if they gave the 66mil away)

All that crap and pictures of their house .. garden .. bog .. washing line.
Salads Chef media folk helping them screw their lives up .. like many others.
I have to say (my opinion) they don't need money for food .. do they?!
I wouldn't mind people (like friends and family) knowing that II'd had a win, but I'd certainly keep quiet about how much until we decided what we were going to do with it.
Spain is not the best place to hide anyway when you're multi-millionaires .. is it?
best place to hide would be among other millionaires - Palm Springs, Spain, Cheshire...
joggerjayne-"Everyone who bought a ticket can take comfort in the fact that those people are enjoying your money."

Well I sure hope they enjoy my £2.00! A bit jealous are we?
Why not go public? Maybe give all the doubters and haters in their lives something to squirm about. A few sackfuls of letters is not the end of the world as they now have the money and can change their names and disappear to one of several large mansions scattered globally and start enjoying their wealth.
I am intrigued by joggerjayne's comment - of course they are going to enjoy everyone's money - that's what a lottery is! You buy a ticket, someone wins, if it's not you, then your money goes to the winner(s). Problem?
