If you want to play the DVD on a pc, laptop or dvd player try just burning the disc as a 'data' disc. It won't take very long and you can fit a few avi files on one disc. My hdd/dvd recorder can play avi files on a dvd and so can my laptop. Saves having to wait whilst avi is converted/burned onto a dvd video disc. Hope this makes sense!
You can try to use Leawo DVD Creator.
