When we were staying in York, the room overlooked the river and everytime a boat passed by my thoughts went out to Boaty - I miss his posts in the mornings and always regard him as THE Gentleman of CB
miss his gentle start to the day and we have had a lot of sad news on here this yearand it would be nice if they get a little more good time together anyway I am sure he would know we wish him and Mrs Boaty all the best on a difficult journey
well said yorkie could not have put it better myself, loved to chat him in the early morning before work cheered me up no end i do hope he and mrs wbm are well as can be,lets hope we hear from him soon,oh ttfn and how are you xx
I met up with Mr & Mrs Waterboatman last week, had a lovely day out in fact. They have to be out a lot due to the treatment that Mrs Wbm is undergoing so he said that he doesn't get as much time to post as before. I'm sure he will if he can, I know that they appreciate the good wishes and thoughts from everyone here xxx
Bernie & Alba - you've hit the nail on the head with regard to the early morning posts - they seemed to send you gently into the day and, for me personally, helped me to relax into the days labours. I have been trying to get the Good Morning thread going whenever I can in the mornings, as has moonraker, but it's just not the same.
mainly because you two have a slightly different approach... Simon King should film it like stags on the rutting grounds.... but if he gets a chance to look in I am sure he finds it a distraction
