The changing ways we eat ..
32 Answers
Just thinking about how we eat today & the things we take for granted. Years ago, we had mum at home ... you got home & your tea was made. You may once in a while buy 'chippy' in as a treat or have a takeaway. Now you can 'order in' as I have just done .. not by phone .. via my lap top & paid for by card! Brilliant!

Me and OH were talking about this the other night. I remember the first time I tried mayonnaise...and sweetcorn.
I was never greeted with 'tea' (dinner) We were greeted with a sandwich as Dad didn't get home from work until later. The intention was that the family always ate together.
Sandwich...glass of milk...change...out.

When I was 9 (back in the 1950's) we went to Spain on holiday in my father's first brand new car - a Triumph Mayflower. My mother panicked all the time about how we couldn't get good, healthy dairy food like butter and cream but had to eat everything slathered with nasty olive oil and stinking of horrid garlic.
