energy boost!
4 Answers
I had a baby twenty one weeks ago and so obviously life has been a bit hectic lately but I know feel in a great routine and have been lucky enough to have a wonderful baby and get back into shape etc quickly. In a few days time my husband is taking me away for a night in a hotel, we are going to see Simply Red and then go out on the town....however.....I still feel quite tired by about ten o clock at night and ready for my bed! I know this is probably quite normal but is there anything anyone can suggest I eat or drink to give me a boost then we can have a night on the town and I can manage an extra few hours. I really want to enjoy myself but feel my energy levels are not what they use to be. I am 33 and have a healthy diet. Thanks a lot!

You may find that you are having such a great time away from your routine that you forget about time. I had a flood in my cellar last night, and as a result was WIDE awake at 4pm when the water board came over. Because circumstances had changed, I had more adrenaline, and coped. You could also get a really good night's sleep the day before, and don't exert yourself too much during the day. Try and get a lie-in, for example.
I've posted before that I find ginseng tablets great for a quick energy boost. Also red bull has pulled me through on many nights if I'm starting to flag!!The fact that you are removed from your home and your baby might psychologically remove your trigger that tells you its time for bed at 10.You seem to have a really positive attitude so I'm sure you will enjoy yourself anyway.
