Very slow laptop

I have an acer aspire laptop(not sure which one) it's in good condition and with no viruses. whenever I play mine craft or any other game it lags a GREAT deal. is there any way I can fix this? thanks

Minecraft is the main game i play, its such a simple game with low graphics, in other words yes

I was just wondering if it is a graphics problem. I know the standand WIN7 games on my woman's desktop PC sends out warnings and crawls in play. One wouldn't believe Spider or the others could have problems but they do. Was never a problem when XP was loaded. In her case I've considered replacing her graphics board, but since it is an older interface I'm loathe to spend on it. Maybe it is a similar graphics problem with your laptop ?
