As a teenager at school in the early 70s I would have gladly sold my soul for a ten-speed racing bike and or a three in one music stereo unit (turntable, cassette deck and stereo) no questions asked....( as were most of my class mates )I am wondering what are on the minds of kids these days.... Running shoes, football kit??????
I consider myself a kid and Id sell my soul for a night with Derren Brown and a tub of Pralines and Cream. You gotta feel sorry for the guy havent you?
As for real childern I think its evolved a bit to weird yoyo things, minidisc players, PS2s and cosmetic surgery.
Cosmetic surgery!!!!! it was a tv program that prompted my Q. a fourteen year old girl begging her mother to allow her to have cosmetic surgery. In the end she got what she wanted.....what next? 30 years ago it wasn't an option...in 30 years time it will probably be designer babies.
My fourteen year old would love to have straight hair - she has the kind of natrual bouncy curl woken pay salons to install, but that's kids - a;ways want something they haven't got. Speaking of which, I would be delighted to look like George Clooney, if anyone knows how!
I would go insane without a daily dosage of Xbox with my friends...but on a more serious note, there has been a massive emphasis on serious issues (such as the environment) throughout my whole life. So hopefully what people would really want, deep down, is a better world. It's nice to think that, anyway.
