It's been a quiet day on the Muslim front, so perhaps it's time to stir up a little anti-gay sentiments?

http://www.dailymail....s-gay-characters.html

Now...as far as I'm aware, Eastenders, Emmerdale and even The Archers feature prominent stories with gay characters and yet their ratings don't seem affected (even when the Daily Mail printed a made-up story about viewers' outrage at 'man-on-man' bedroom scene last month.

So what IS it with certain right wing papers?

The trouble with 'Soaps' these days, is the fact that they are trying to become social documentaries.

They are constantly introducing certain issues, and then at the end of the programme they will flash up the message "If you have been effected by any of these issues, please call 0800 ////// or contact The Samaritans" or words to that effect.
I'm slightly worried as there are no gays in my street...............does this mean we're disfunctional?
Good friend is gay, no problem, but she is a rarity around here.
I don't think you need to be anti gay to find images of men slobbering over each other somewhat repellent and unnatural, or to find it disturbing that a story line features two homosexuals looking after a child without any involvement of the social services.
Maybe you don't need to be anti-gay, but obviously it helps.
I actually think the transvestite Marc is more repulsive to watch than Sean and his partner. Marc is such a pathetic character, badly acted, he makes me cringe, especially when he talks, and just seems to be a laughing stock ........
Do not watch soaps. Do not read Daily Mail. My best friend was gay. Who exactly are you attacking?
I think its new new producer that's killing Corrie. He made a good job of the live tram crash episode but, since then its gone down hill, IMO.
Have watched Corrie from day 1, missed very very few episodes, I know it's sad, its a soap not real but I still love it. Stella/Leanne story does not ring true. No prooblem with Shan and Marcus. Sophie story I can take or leave it.
John Stape storyline is ridiculous, falling from roof and disappearing is stupid, and nobody mentioning him with no police actively hunting him makes it farcial.
BRING BACK EL DORADO....LOL
Where's Rawsie?
Craft - I think Rawsie has a storyline coming up - i shall watch again if she ditches the blonde hair.
Yes........apparently there is a prominent storyline for Dozie Webster coming to a TV set near you, soon!!
