This is the 2nd day of pain for my husband, he can hardly walk with the pain in his lower back, he did do heavy lifting on Saturday but was careful, I have given him my Arthrotec tablets and Co Codamol, when and if should we contact the doctor?

I think he should be getting to his doctor as soon as possible. Even if he was lifting things carefully, it sounds like he's done something that may need medical treatment.

Also, I don't know if your Arthrotec and Co Codamol tablets are prescribed for you by your doctor, but if they are, you really shouldn't be giving them to your husband - even if he seems to have similar symptoms to you, he may well react differently to you, and they could be doing more harm than good! Get him to his doctor! Of course if these are over-the-counter drugs, then that's a different story, but if he's still in such pain, then they are obviously not helping him, and he should see his doctor.

Hope he feels better soon!
