I have the worst flushing toilet system - I did buy expensive toilet rolls but they stuck now I use the thinnest I can find. still they sick anybody the flush is flushing but sucking down is poor - my plumber says it is just a bad flushing system. Anything I can try.

I think you need to get a plumber in to look at the air flows in your pipe and sugegst a correction. Saying it's a poor flushing system isn't a lot of help. He's supposed to be the expert and suggest ways he can solve it.

Perhaps the ceramics on the U bend might not have been completely covered and the paper is sticking, further deposits of paper etc. will cause a build up, and consequently your attempts at flushing will not clear the blockage. A bucket of water down the pan usually works, but ths is not ideal. Hope this helps.
Could it be?... I once had to use caustic soda on the outside drain after my wife flushed a huge wadge of toilet paper down our loo. Well, it's what women do, isn't it? I told her, however much paper she needs, not to use a single big wadge, but to make it up by tearing off only two sheets at a time. This allows the paper to separate and to be flushed away much more easily.
