boy kicker didn't get the exam results that he wanted :-(
had to scrape him off the floor when he got home this morning and i've never seen him like that, it was scary. however, after an entire day in the clearing system and 4 telephone interviews, he got a place at bournemouth uni!!! i feel utterly pooped and the boy is a mixture of happy, sad and 'washing machine' (his own words!). he didn't get to do his first choice, but then again, it won't cost him £30k either - and he's just relieved he's going. i hope i never have to experience another day like today again, ever x

He is now a B.A. (Hons) but because he got a 2.2. when he wanted a 2.1. he went about like a wet week for ages. Don't think he has got over it yet. I told him the only letters I could expect after my name was either B.F. or I.D.I.O.T. but it didn't cheer him up.
hi, guys! thanks for a bit of support - he's gone up to bed as he's exhausted and i've had a little cry! it's been so stressful and, once getting past the horror of oh, sh!t he's been rejected, it's nice to know he has a place at a decent uni and a little commute to classes instead of a 2 hour slog to london. ena, yes he is coming to your neck of the woods! i think he's gonna have a great time at bournemouth - all those parties and the beach! thanks for making me feel a little better, as it's all been about him today and being strong (which is always difficult as a parent!). i'm just so relieved he has a reward for all his hard work and know just how lucky he is to have a place at uni this year x
My grandson and most of his friends( All bright boys) didnt get the AS grades they were hoping for .One boy got all D's and he's devastated and his parents are kicking off He's worked so hard and even had extra tuition. I feel so sorry for him,but in my opinion the parents have pushed him too much. My grandson got B's and C's and he's quite disappointed,we were as well but did'nt let him know, just hope he'll do better next year.
