if something is labelled "Nickel allergy tested" does this mean it is nickel free? or there is not enough nickel to cause an allergy?? can anyone point me somewhere that explains this?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Where I used to work, anything white gold or made of 'other' metal (eg steel watch buckles) needed to be sent to a metal assaying office to check that the nickel content was within allowed limits. Try looking up Birmingham Assaying Offices website (not sure exactly what they're called) it may give you in depth info.
