going  las vegas (4 nights) honolulu (including 7 night cruise for 9 nights) then san fransisco (5 nights) anyone know how much a large beer will be @ these places in march next year

Don't know about Honolulu, never been. San Fran is expensive, the same as other large cities. Cheaper if you go to some of the back street bars. Very Expensive on Pier 39, about $4 - $5 a large beer (Pint) and about $5 - $7 in the posher hotels.

Vegas depends which hotel you're in and location. Centre stip $5 in Ceasers, MGM, NYNY etc. $3-$5 in the mid-range and $2 in the cheaper hotels (Circus Circus etc.).

My tip is go to the naff T-Shirt and souvenir shops between hotels. They have fridges at the back of all of them that sell bottles uf Bud etc. for $1....You can drink on the strip so won't get stopped. Take the lid off and walk in the hotels and you;ve saved yourself about $3 a bottle.  Of course, if you gamble the drinks a FREE ($1 tip covers it).

Honolulu is about the same as San Francisco; though why anyone wants to drink American beer is beyond me (with the exception of Anchor Steam Beer from San Francisco and Coors if you must - in my experience the rest is fizzy gnat's pee.........).  Ducks in anticipation of salvo from across the Pond..........

There are a lot of good micro breweries around California now.  If you see it, try Napa Red.  Don't forget the true purposes of your trip.....

Why do you need to know the price of a large beer? Surely if you are going on a Silver Wedding trip, you will be pushing the boat out in honour of your wife of 25 years and won't give a thought to the price of drinks.
