a pizza cake!

i am going to make a birthday cake that looks like a pizza, for my 8 year old.
I know how to do the 'cheese' (white chocolate, grated) and thought ferrero rocher cut in half would look like meatballs.
I'm a bit stuck as to what else to top with though. I don't want it to just look fulll of sweets.
Can anyone think of something that would look like a savoury topping?

Angellica could be used as green peppers
Red buttercream as the pizza sauce
Grapes as olives

Marzipan comes in all different colours and can be molded into any shape you want, if the cakes not a surprise you can even get the kids to help as it's like moldable plasticine

strawberry or rasperry jam for the tomato topping, green sprinkles for the herbs, Make chilli peppers from red icing with green icing stalks sweet mushrooms cut in half....

coconut mushrooms from sweetshops that sell by the 100g normally look like little real ones or they do foam sweet versioons but they are pink and white

Well go with the above users ideas as if I can remember marzipan is pretty sickly sweet, also I forgot to congratulate you on a great idea! On a side note when I get married one day, I want a several layered cheesecake of many flavours instead of the boring traditional sickly sweet traditional styled wedding cake

Rowanwitch, gimme gimme gimme! Lol, I never even knew those existed, that would be lush, just give each person a french loaf or a selection of crusty rolls as they enter the reception area and let them loose!
