We dealt with this thread at some length when it happened and if I remember rightly this was not a case of innocent do gooders carrying aid to Gaza but a very large group of activists spoiling for a fight. In fact there was very little aid on that particular ship. The other ships were carrying aid and those people did not attempt to fight, they obeyed the order to sail for the Israeli port where the aid was transported to Gaza. What happened on the ship where those activists were killed was/is deplorable but I saw some videos where the activists were attacking the Israelis who responded with excess force . On the ships where the Israelis were not attacked no one was hurt.
From the Israeli point of view they are rocketed on almost a daily basis.
If that was happening to us , the French or the Dutch in the English Channel would we allow a flotilla of ships possibly carrying arms to land in a hostile area , where they would be deployed against us ?
I have great sympathy with the Palestiians and am against the Israelis but both sides are at fault with their extreme views based on the words of long dead prophets.

Oh yes and Hamas do ? They have been told repeatedly to stop attacks on Israel . The Palestinians have been using violence in defiance of UN resolutions for the past 80 years. Take off those rose tinted glasses and you might see there are faults on both sides. Both ignore UN resolutions .
