Logic behind 6a in Telegraph Prize X-Word

Why is 6a Whoa - apart from the letters fitting -H-A The clue is Doctor gets a call to stop.

I have just finished the x-word and not to bad once you unravel the four longer anagrams. I am just curious on 6a though.

Aaah I see now, Boxtops - by that you can tell that I am not a Dr Who fan.
Nor am I, DT, but to me "The Doctor" was the clue :-)

funny isn't it - I nail Khachaturian straight up and semi-fall foul of Whoa, though one could see that it was the answer once 8d fell into place. The joy of the crossword...
Hi dtcrosswordfan, I find the 4 letter clue/answers infuriating, they're often trickier than the other clues, they are to me anyway. Still, the DT is a great crossword + of course the Quickie with it's pun.
