Hi,
Don't know about the lighter life crew, but are you doing the whole gluten free bit, like watching what is in the gravy powder, not using pepper etc? we used to get the gluten free food on prescription, pizzas, tinned bread etc. tasted awful but no option. this was in the 70's and after a year the doctor said to slowly intoduce gluten back into the diet. now I eat as normal, But all the doctors say that celiac is for life, yet I had the bi-opsy and the small intestines were flattened and my weight had gone down to something akin to a 12 year old, and the sample of the villi confirmed it was coeliac. So, perhaps the small intestine can recover and be back to normal, but when the problem was at its worst even the slightest whiff of bread would bring on a reaction. so if you try any different foods, start off slowly just in case they are made with a gluten that come in a different form after being processed. We used to make our own sausages, really good, worth the hassle.
keep well,
annie.
