rechargeable batteries - tv remote
7 Answers
I've had a 'heads up' notice on my tv that my remote batteries need to be changed - can I use the ones from my camera - they are rechargeable? (haven't opened the tv remote yet as don't want to disturb it for this evenings viewing so don't even know if they are the same size btw) thank you

Most remote controls seem to use either 2 x AA batteries or 2 x AAA batteries. Given that you can buy a pack of 4 alkaline batteries (of either size) for a quid from Poundland (or similar), which will probably keep your remote control going until the end of the decade, it seems rather silly to use expensive rechargeable batteries in their place.
