I Have photo's of family sitting on a beach, where dads and grandads had rolled up trousers, braces on and white knotted hankies on their heads, happy days. Bucket and spade holidays seemed magical then

I havent see anyone with the "knotted hanky" headgear for years, reminds me of my childhood, dad with said hanky, rolled up trousers and thick wooly sox and mother hanging on to her handbag for dear life with one hand and dishing out sandwiches with the other.Happy days.
