Eyelash Extensions....

Anyone had these done? Do they apply a whole section, such as false eyelashes, or are they individual lashes? If individual, how many do they tend to put on (for £25).
also, how long do they last and do they hold fast when swimming etc?

I'm relatively sure I looked in to this a couple of years back where I get my eyebrows done and was told that if I was swimming then the extensions wouldn't last too long. I got my eyelashes tinted instead... although who knows what new and wonderful developments there have been in the world of eye lash extensions in the last few years!
