Do have a virus?

Last week some of my address book contacts received what they believed were e mails from me which I didn't send.I also got some "bounced back" in a failure notice.They were somthing to do with lifestyle change! I put it down to a one off but the same thing has happened today! Is this a virus and what should I do?
