t'internet etiquette
Are there certain "rules" when sending emails? When we were at school we were taught how to address a letter poperly etc. Are children sown how to write an email? Someone told me that it's rude to use capitals as it's as if your shouting! Is that true? Is it rude to not use capital lettersat the beginning of sentences? Should you still put your full postal address like you would in a letter?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.it depends entirely on who you're sending the email to, and for what purpose. for business-related emails you would be a lot more formal and fastidious about capitals, grammar, spelling, etc than if you were just sending a 'hello' to a mate.
definitely never use all capitals though.
no need to put postal address, though - at work - many people will have a 'signature' containing all contact info (some do for home email too)
"LOL Y U ALWAYS USE DA SNIPAR RIFEL LOL I PWN U!!!!111 U IS TEH HAX0RZ! I IS 1337" translates to:
"Haha, why do you always use the Sniper Rifle, haha. I'm better than you, you're cheating, I'm elite."
The general lack of 'netiquette is something that's fairly prevalent in some internet forums too.
