im opening a bar in birkenhead in the next few weeks i need to think of a good first night to make it go off with a good opening can anyone suggest any good ideas..apart from gettin celebs in ive got that covered..xxx

Birkenhead...just arrange a few good fights for outside... seriously... goody bags for those attending... inc maybe some miniatures, a teddy with the bar logo on a tea shirt...printed shot glasses that sort of thing..

Peg your drinks prices below £2. try a quiz night with a prize of a £20 booze-voucher for the winning table of 4(to be redeemed only back in your bar within the next 3 nights) £1 p.p entry fee. Invite local new-talent bands to play a "showcase"gig at your bar ONLY if they can introduce 20 of their friends a week before their gig. Emphasise a STRICT NO DRUG POLICY ! Advertise a free pizza nite (1 slice p.p only between the hour of 8-8.30 p.m only)on a wednesday night. Good-luck !
