My first name has two possible spellings so that could be accepted and my surname is a litte odd so that too could be expected BUT NOT when you have my full name in at least two places on an e-mail and when you reply to me you still get it wrong.
Oh, I'd also like to add to that people who try to make my name a longer version, as if I just use an abbreviated version and they don't believe that's my whole name.
Had a friend named Liz but her first teacher insisted on calling her Elizabeth! She was just plain Liz but it took a visit from her mother for the message to get through to the teacher.
Fed up with call centre people not being able to pronounce my surname. Perhaps understandable if they are foreign. In which case, don't call me. Object to those wo put a 'mac' before it. Object even more to those who pronounce my first name with the third letter rhyming with 'eye' instead of the i in pin.
Every time i've been on placement the children always call me the same thing. I got god knows how many cards this year all with the wrong name on! haha It's become a bit of a nickname now :|
My first name is Michael, and I get angry when people spell it "Micheal". The joke is, the barman at the pub I used to go to was also called Michael and he always spelt it wrong.
