Hi All

Can constipation in a man cause problems with him going to wee?

Hubby is and says he also can't pass water.

Thanks all

could he be dehydrated?

Thanks Cazzz, don't think so, am making him drink lots of water to help with the constipation. Altho' this isn't helping with not being able to go!!
A swollen prostate gland can cause both symptoms simultaneously, come in Squad..
I'd suggest he needs to go and get his prostate gland checked out - a common problem with blokes.

thanx guys, will get him in to Doc tomorrow
I tend to agree with boxy and jomifl BUT:

How old is your husband?
Does he have a poor stream and wants to go frequently and urgently?
Is he on any tablets?
Has he any underlying medical condition?

Hi Sqad

Hubby is 63, usually goes okay, this problem has only been today but as you can imagine it is very uncomfortable.
He has PRP and takes a few tablets, Lisinopril, acetretin, lipitor.
He has taken them for ages tho'.

Any help appreciated
Well, as long as he is not in pain and his stomach is not distended, then leave it for a couple of days, but make sure that he drinks adequately and a hot bath may well help.

I agree with the prostate protagonists, but nothing to worry about at the moment.

Keep us informed.
