I put up decorations, cook Christmas/New Year meals, put on smiles etc and generally entertain family members. However, When I am putting up the decorations I am at the same time, looking forward to taking them down.
If I could fully have my own way, Christmas would not be celebrated. In fact I think it brings a lot distress to many folk who have lost dear ones, and others who have to spend it alone without visitors.etc
I agree with you Ron - nobody should be alone at Christmas (unless they want to of course), but it's a sad fact of life that many are. I probably will be one day myself. I still enjoy it though, but always think of others.
If theres good stuff on tv then I'm happy. Its kind of been pants the last few years.
Another thing is the food. I love a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and I've recently discovered bread sauce which I love. And I don't normally shop at Iceland but all the sponsor ads for I'm a celebrity......are drawing me to it.
Getting to play pictonary, my lot hate playing games, so they all do it just to keep their lovely mum happy. Though some manage to make a quick exit. I do bribe them with lots of drink to stay, (used to be sweets).
