@AP I would be more than happy to agree to disagree with statements made in this forum, if the authors made it clear that their posts were made as statements of opinion or belief, rather than being presented as statements of scientific fact.
I think assertions that dowsing works are dangerous and I will challenge them. It is because this kind of half -assed folk wisdom gets passed on and accepted as some sort of scientific truth that conmen are able to sell equipment to detect explosives, using a modern day variant of the supporting "theory" - Its all quantum now, of course.
Ley lines are a harmless enough belief I suppose, but the claims made for them and what they represent are pretty wild and unscientific, and that just irritates me :)
