Firstly, I'm disgusted with our justice system, 5 months for attempted murder, I know the charge was reduced but he still tried to kill her. The person I felt for the most was the oldest son, it seems the parents were so busy sticking their heads in the sand that they actually overlooked his pain and anguish, and I feel that 6 years on they're still not really keen to talk about it, something I think the Dad deserves to do for him. The Dad must have thought all his Christmases came at once being allowed back into the family, and they kids not even consulted, I find this to be strange. I could say a lot more and I'm sure I will when I have a bit more time. What did you think?
I found it very strange, there seemed to be an implication that the attack was totally out of the blue and uncharacteristic, I was doodling on the computer at the time I watched it! I wasn't sure of the purpose of the programme, mere sensationalism? As has already been said, I felt very sorry for the sons, especially Henry the eldest, and I'm not sure of the Mother's motives in taking part in the programme. There was a lot left unsaid I felt, did the Father say why he did it?
