I'm thinking about trying to paint.......in watercolours. Is there a "pie chart" of colours that gives a visual of what result you would get by mixing certain colours? It's something I was hoping to d/load.Thanks!!
You know the best thing to do? Get the paints and play with them. It's only by using the paint that you will get the feel of it all, and what they look like when you mix them. Remember blue and yellow give green, blue and red=purple red and yellow=orange etc but as I said just play with them and see what happens
The basics are that you have three primary colours - Red, Yellow and Blue, then you have black and white. With these you can combine them or as 'nungate' says 'play' to see the results. As you are planning to use water colours as opposed to oils you can also use water to dilute the colour and make it 'weaker' by adding water or more intense with less. Most colours are obtained from mixing any two of the three primary colours, combining all three will create a brown. Good luck
I made my own, bought a small pad of water colour paper and mixed colours on it with notes of what percentages used. Also remember in water colours you work from light to dark, opposite of oil colours. I hope you enjoy it.
