Obesity and The NHS

We are told that obesity is costing the NHS billions as it is one of the causes of diabetes, heart disease and arthritis. Have just got back from my local General Hospital and was amazed by the huge number of seriously overweight staff working there. You'd think they should know better.

What is the point of the NHS spending billions trying to cure people who just won give up the fags.
mcmouse, one thing about that if they live locally to the hospital, then they haven't got far to go to get treatment, seems bizarre doesn't it, same as being lectured by politicians to tighten our belts, financially speaking, then you see them throw money around like confetti. Double standards prevails. That's why i stopped listening to these so called experts, when they do it, i will.
