Chanel is quite strong and whiffy. If its still wrapped take it back with the bill and ask the assistant for a light perfume for a young girl. You sound like a very thoughtful boyfriend, don't take too much notice of us old grumpy people but sometimes we are right ! Your girlfriend is a lucky girl!

There can be a degree of snobbery about the playboy brand with some people seeing it as chavvy or tacky.If your girlfriend likes that sort of thing then by all means buy it and don't be concerned by opinions of people much older.I do think chanel no.5 is an older woman's perfume but don't be swayed by my opinions be your own person.

Defiantly not Chanel for a 16 year old!!! Maybe get her Lola by Marc Jacobs. I like the necklace a lot, but i think your better off getting her perfume and maybe some chocolates...
