probably not. The Times published on Christmas Day for a couple of years back in the 90s, but I think they concluded the sales (even in the absence of any rival publications) weren't worth it.

I expect the Saturday papers, if you get them, will be as thick as ever. I gave up on the Sundays some years back for that reason: it took me two days minimum to get through the day before's papers.

Years ago the Scottish papers published on Christmas Day and there were small shops open here in Belfast selling them.

Meant to say, know what you mean jno, I do buy the sunday paper, but a lot of it goes straight in the recycling, wish I could just buy the bits I actually want to read!
