Sprouts...

I fancy doing something a bit different with them - I don't like the pancetta & chestnut thing with them. Does anybody else have any way of making them taste different/fabulous? I love them just boiled, salted & buttered but I'm trying to persuade my family to eat them!
And/or if you have any unusual recipes for them??

Another favourite of mine is to cook a finely slice a couple of rashers of smoked streaky, fry until beginning to crisp add finely chopped onion and cook until the onion begins to colour at the edges, add a clove of finely chopped garlic (this bit can be done ahead), add some shredded sprouts and toss to mix with onion/bacon mix. Add a glug of sherry and put a lid on for 3 minutes to steam the sprouts. You can leave it at that and just add some seasoning or you can go for the luxury gut-buster version and add a good glug of cream heat through and then add a handful of finely grated parmesan stir in and season to taste.
