Yes, of course I would. Cook it by the 25th, that's what it means, do what you like with it afterwards as long as you keep it in the fridge. I bought one the same today.
No problem at all (assuming, of course, proper refrigeration - and that you didn't have it in a warm car for any length of time on the way home). You've always got an extra day or two on 'use by' dates on meat.
Take no notice its a marketing ploy! cook it on 25th and when cooked it will last a good week if kept in the fridge. We use every scrap of ours after Christmas Day (mostly in lovely turkey and pickle sarnies) then boil up the carcass with loads of veg and make wonderful turkey soup and then freeze it!
