Phone charging

Ive charged my I phone in my car for 2 years with the same charger through the cigarette lighter since about 4 months ago it now tells me
"charging not supported with this accessory "
I don't understand as this had worked for a long time !
Any idea ? Thanks

i had this problem with another item that what used by my iphone
after many hours of trawling through forums it seemed to be when it got rain on the phone somehow it got moisture inside and the problem started it went days after when i left it on a warm dry area to dry out what ever moisture was there

If it still charges using the Apple USB lead then your in-car charger, to use an industry technical term, is humped.
