Save your rice for another time and bake a nice sized potato with a good crisp skin (rub butter on them for crispness) for them to put the chili on...
Then, you can make up some quesedillas as a side... flour tortillas folded over some gome Jack cheese with some mild, minced Chilies spread on them... pop them in the oven broiler just to brown lightly.
Alternately, if your baker has any of the crsip bolle's (we prefer sourdough) grab four and cut the tops off, scooping out the bread and serve your chili in them...
