Not a good start to the year

Just heard my BIL has died. He just saw his 61 birthday on NYEve. He was diagnosed cancer only in Sept last year. I know this is going to be a bad year for us. Both our mothers have been very ill for a while now. One is 90 and the other nearly 96. Weve been expecting the worst for a few months now and we fear its getting closer and closer. My younger brother only 56 has been diagnosed with emphasema also. We have lots of family gatherings already planned for this year including 2 weddings. Its going to be a diffulcult year to get through as I feel that at each gathering, someone will be suddenly missing

Not a great start TOH - funny how everything is plain sailing for years then suddenly - bang - all goes pear shaped in a very short time. Sad time for you, thinking of you and your family.
